How are you guys doing? Actually, one of the things I wanted to tell you both regard my grades and my expectations. As you all know, this year I am heavily involved in my School newspaper as editor and the workload hasn't been helpful. But it made me realise that being busy actually helped me. My grades are pretty ok, and I'm doing something worthwhile with my life. We all have moments of self-doubt, although mine took up the better part of my life. These few weeks taught me how to deal with pressure, and showed me how to believe in myself.
Take for example, yesterday, I had a presentation. I told myself that I wanted an A, and I will work hard towards getting an A. I told my teammates that and I kept reminding myself that I can do this. So i went all out for it. I even missed Ivy's birthday (which I'm very sorry for). But at the end of the presentation, my lecturer told my group that an A is highly possible. Most importantly, they could tell that we did heavy research and knew our topic well. This piece of praise was the best that I could ever receive. And I enjoyed the process of doing it as well, which I think is very important.
So what I'm trying to tell you guys is, although we might think otherwise, we are all capable of something great. And this greatness begins with believing in ourselves. I'm still working on it, but when you believe in yourself and you put all your strength into doing it, at the end of the day, when you see the result, you know you are always capable of goodness.
Even when you don't always see the result, you keep trying and trying until you do. And I am as sure as the sky is blue that we will all see that day come soon, if not immediately.
So whenever you feel like giving up or you've had enough, take a moment..... Close your eyes...... Clear your mind (do not lie to yourself)..... then you remind yourself that you can do this. Then you do it.
I hope you all won't see this as a hao lian session but I hope my experience will be shared with all of us. The difference between thinking you can do it and knowing you can do it is different.
Convince yourself that you can do it to the point that you won't doubt your ability....

china
Hello guys,
It's me again. Haha apparently I have a lot to say. It's term break now. Not really break. One more paper this Friday. The killer income tax. Going to start studying it tomorrow. Haven heard from the overseas people for very long. Drop us something ok?
On a side note, I was wondering where's the final destination at the end of year you guys want to go? Taiwan is number one rite? It's good cos we can visit Shi Ling Night Market, Xi Men Ding, we can try to catch Wo cai x 3, and the amusement parks there are awesome too.
I was thinking China is not bad, but I know ppl like Yuyee Ji Tow condemn this choice. Haha henceforth since I'm quite free now, and this blog is pretty dead, and becos I stumbled upon some photos I took in China, I'm going to post them, hoping that they might entice some of you.
The lake is like a mirror. Very good for 'reflections'

EVERYONE must see this place before they die.

And yes one more photo to do justice to this place.
Extreme gourmet. Yummy. I bet even Seto wun use his hands on this one!

Cherries. I like this photo.
The Big Brother of ALL Pasar Malams (I'm not sure if it's closed down already, anyway)

Not to mention the splendid night views...
Did I mention that the fun will by amplified by good company? (You guys of cos.)

I still have many photos but I dun think you guys have the patience to view them. :) Anyway, let's hold our horses. The end of year is coming. And celebrations bewait.

IMF
Hi Hi Guys..
It's Mid Term now.. and everyone is getting stressed up over exams and projects.. can see it in everyone's face. I guess it's the time to give one another an extra PUSH and not bring anyone down. By being supportive, caring and positive. The last thing we need now is another thing for us to bother about.
For the past week, I've been sleeping less than 8 hours everyday.. average around 6 hours. I'm already running on my reserves now, but like what I have told Laura I've already mastered the skill of "dunnid-much-sleep" already. My "Motivation-Quotient" is running low these days. I need a top-up soon.
It has been almost 2 weeks after my IMF. It has been a good experience for me, and the most that I've gathered from it is not any contacts from any delegates, even though I was just outside Paul Wolfowitz's office, but a great bunch of Polytechnic student frens. They are fun-loving, motivated and street-smart. I dun really have much to say about the whole IMF event, but some photos to show you guys what it's about..
Inside Planery Hall, where the meetings take place.
Find Wally (me)...

How got chio bu or not? Who want intro haha.

Inside the lift inside the temporary office...

Yandaokia and YunHaeYoung in IMF uniform

Guys. Jiayou. Gambate.
