I am a happy man. Contented with how things have been turning out lately. Happy to be with my family, girlfriend and friends. Laura has been incredible for me. Glad to see friends mending relationships and caring more for one another. Happy that exams have ended today and I can have a respite. Though hiccups/slight frustrations turns up now and then, I remain optimistic and upbeat that everything is going to work out fine.
I want to start exercising a little, and play soccer. This seems kind of ironic in that I only want to play good soccer, but that’s quite beyond me haha. Continue fantasizing then. Want to play holdem too. It’s a thrilling game (given that Vieri is addicted to it as well). Want to catch some movies and do some shopping as well. And then, it’ll be a start of the project-quizzes-mugging cycle. It’s ok. It’s my last 2 months anyway.
Recent posts have been kind of reflective. This is the same. Below is an excerpt from Steve Jobs in the commencement talk 2005 at Stanford:
“Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
He mentioned that dropping out of high school and being sacked from Apple were some of the best things that have happened to him, as it led him to invent Calligraphy in typing and finding Pixar. This is meaningful to me because if such negative things happen and it can be taken in a positive light, then I suppose we should be stay optimistic as well. Things do happen to us for a reason. We really need to believe, even if it is ‘whatever’, that everything is going to work out fine at the end of the day.
Take care guys!
