True Friends??
I guess everyone really enjoyed yesterday night based on all the laughter. Karaoke night was fun as well especially for two of our friends' mini-concert.. es n xin. Just wanna take this opportunity to share with u guys what are true friends...
1)True friends will accept one another for who they r n help to shape them into a better person.
2)True friends will accept one another's serious critic n try change to become a better person
3)True friends will share not only share laughter together but will also encourage each other during unhappy times n help them tide through
4)True friends will make efforts to make sure the friendship only gets better and not deteriorate over time
5)True friends must have all the trust n belief in one another
The 1st 3 points i think we have done quite a good job so we should continue to maintain if not improve. For point 4, Es n black going overseas will really put our friendship to test. If we r able to maintain as good a relationship as now or even better, then i will say our friendship will really up one level. However all these will not be possible without the effort of each n everyone of us. This does not only apply to es n black but also to the rest of us who r in singapore. In years or even months to come, most of us will hav partners entering into our lives. Based on passed experiences, we hav seen that it will be quite difficult to really lead the kind of life that we r leading now. n is precisely b'cos we dun hav gfs thats y we hav so much time for one another. Wat i m urging everyone is to pls put in effort be it u r overseas or u r in singapore to meet up with one another as much as possible. There should be times when we hav bachelor nights so those with gfs dun hav to "take care" of them. I wan to believe that everyone will really put in effort to keep this friendship going. There should not be such thing going on in your mind as "now quite tired, n somemore later meeting gf, aiyah jus dun meet them la" That's wat i mean by not putting in effort n i m sure of u smart ppl will know wat i mean. I wan to believe that if any of u can't come, its really because u dun hav a choice. n u r answerable to your conscience for making that decision. It might sound a bit too serious but i can't find a better way to express wat i really wanna say.
Next on the final point, it's not that we dun trust one another now. But i wanna bring up a point. I have a live example to share. There's this two guys A n B who's been really good friends for 30 over years. they always help one another out in business n also in family matters. Then of course when A ran into some financial difficulties, B willingly lend him the money. However, who would hav guessed that the money din help A much as his business really continued to worsen n he had more bad debts. Initially B was quite understanding as he trusted that A would hav returned him the money if A really had. However, after B's wife intervened n said that A is actually cheating him, she says A actually has money jus that he dun wanna return. They also targeted the house that A owns saying that A can sell the house n pay him the money. Although A explained to B that his house was morgaged n selling the house when times r bad will not bring him much money. B din believe n issued lawyer letter.....Wat i wan to prove to u guys is that u should trust your true friends. If u believe him, then u should not hav any doubts on him no matter wat others say. In this case if B sees for himself that A actually has money, eg. buys new car or buy new house then I should say the actions that B took is justifyable. Nobody can understand your true friends more than yourself after all that u have been through together. I hope that 20 yrs down the road none of us will be suing each other n 9 of us will still be as close as we are now..
Now, everyone is getting busier n perhaps getting a partner soon. Plus the fact 2 are going overseas and that those who remain in singapore r in diff schools, we will hav less time spent together. We still hav a long wat ahead n I hope this blog will create certain awareness in everyone to make an effort to keep our friendship going. Cheers!
